RELAX, act natural, and let’s take some pictures

This isn’t about a photo session, or even the pictures, it’s about You. Forget about posing and feeling stiff in front of the camera. Imagine going on a walk with an old friend, who just happens to have a camera with them. My process is free and flowy, and my only goal is to capture your true self.

My approach

As cliche as it is.... I was given a camera in grade school, was the high school year book geek, and then in college, joined the school newspaper ($5/hour back then, good money) ... while in college, I worked with the Associate Press and the largest newspaper in the state. For a few years I worked my was across the United States, landing in Florida for Scripps News Service in 1998.

My aesthetics was created by the world of photojournalism. The art of storytelling, emotions, details and capturing the scenes are the essences of my upbringing. I have had decades of experience, maybe 350 + brides in front of my camera, capturing wedding bliss in exotic locations: Mexico, Hawaii, California, Oregon, Idaho, Colorado, North Carolina, Georgia, The Cayman Islands, The Bahamas and of course Florida.

I approach each and every wedding as a unique romantic storytelling experience.

I look forward to speaking to you about your love story!

FAQ

This is my first experience with a photographer, what should I know?

I'm a firm believer that photographer and bride and groom need to gel, I always suggest meeting up sometime before, coffee, dinner, you name it... if we have a great time, then photography will be something the bride and groom won't need to stress about.

how long are you at the wedding ?

I'm not a clock watcher, I do like to come a couple hours early, make images of the bride getting ready. If a second photographer is part of the package, he/she will usually come in about an hour to 90 minutes before the ceremony and shoot a bit with the groom, shoot details and the venue. We are usually some of the last to leave. I hate missing moments!

How many pictures will I receive?

LOTS, in today's digital world, the image capture is unlimited, I try not to overwhelm the married couple with too many photos, but it's a possibility. I try to keep my edits tight, delivering around 750 images that highlight your wedding day.

Are you available outside of Florida?

oh yes, have cameras, will travel!! I actually have clients across the nation and am tell them that the only thing preventing their work, are my commitments to a bride....

what is your on site editor?

I love making sure the bride and groom have the ability to control their social media, so with my on site editor option, I have someone who is editing my and my second shooter's pictures as the wedding happens. This allows me to give the bride and groom a 'highlights of the wedding' image collection the same night, before we leave the venue. The normal highlights collection is about 200 images, all perfect for posting! The final gallery is usually ready with in a week.

Do you have a question?

Im an open book. Mentoring is one of the things that I love to do, building a strong industry of talented photographers. At this point, I think I've shot 350 weddings, maybe more?? I've shot in Hawaii, California, Oregon, Idaho, Colorado, up and down the East Coast, in the Carribean and Mexico. I've seen it all and over come some fun obstacles in order to make amazing images for my clients. I'm here to help, I have no secrets, ask me anything!
